Programmers can testify that spelling mistakes can be a big nuisance and editors can testify that spelling errors can be embarrassing. The Vadim Malyarchuk-developed application is here to make spell checking a simple and efficient task. The application can analyze multiple files and identify spelling mistakes – so, as the name suggests, it is a spell checking utility with support for batch processing.

BatchSpellChecker can be installed on any Windows edition from Windows 2000 onward. To install the application, you will have to go through a standard setup process: download an executable, run it, follow the onscreen instructions presented by a simple setup wizard. There’s nothing complicated about the installation; even a novice will quickly get it done.

The application’s interface is divided into two panes. Select a folder and the files from within that folder, files that contain spelling errors, will be presented in the pane to the left. Select a file and its contents, with the spelling errors underlined, will be displayed in the pane to the right. If the left hand pane gets in the way, you can hide it out of sight with a simple mouse click.
Since we’re talking about the interface, it must be mentioned that BatchSpellChecker provides support for skins. If you don’t like them, you can easily disable skins.

Using BatchSpellChecker is a fairly simple matter: select a folder and hit the Start button. When you do so, the application will look within the files inside that folder and identify spelling mistakes. The files that contain mistakes will be presented in the aforementioned left hand pane. Please note that the application searches for spelling errors in the files with the default supported extension. From Preferences -> Search you can add more extensions to the list; you can instruct the application to look for mistakes in more file types.

You have 30 days at your disposal to use BatchSpellChecker for free and evaluate the functionality it has to offer. To keep using the application once the trial expires, you will have to get a license.

Look for spelling mistakes in multiple files at once with the user friendly and efficient BatchSpellChecker.

Pros

You can easily install BatchSpellChecker on just about any Windows edition. The interface is user friendly and supports skins. Using the application, you can process multiple files and find spelling mistakes.

Cons

Free to use for a trial period of 30 days.
